Mid-layer jack-of-all-trades jacket (Nano Air, First Light, etc) advice?

Hey folks. My first post here and I'd really appreciate some advice. I run warm. Main winter sports are downhill skiing, trail running, some fat biking, I don't do any winter camping anymore, but tons of hiking. I got a sizable discount on Patagonia (1 time) and a gift card so I'm inclined to grab something like a Nano Air, but concerned with long-term durability and loft. Will it hold up and stay warm for many years Some people have said the Light pullover is the way to go. Also ...

Stop me from pulling trigger on L.L. Bean Packaway Hoody

Breath-ability and ruggedness aren't major concerns. As such, got scared off certain jackets because of them favoring breath-ability through side panels in sacrifice of warmth. Also, the jacket will get minimal use and almost never get packed or washed. Waterproof I could go either way, but at least want half way decent water resistance. I had done some research and was settled on the Arcíteryx Atom LT Hoody, but kept reading about people saying it just w...

Lifetime Warranties?

I work in a semi-professional attire job (in a hospital). I bounce between scrubs and casual dress for days with meetings/conferences. Because I donít dress up every day, Iím hoping to buy clothes I can get more than one use out of (ie casual, hiking, working, etc.) Iím looking for companies that sell clothing that has a really good warranty. The only outdoor companies with lifetime warranties that I know of are Osprey (love their stuff, but no clothes) Eddie Bauer, and L.L. Bean. The reason Iím...

I would like to know about Western Mountaineering Ion Parka

I am considering to buy the Arcteryx Firebee Parka; however, it's too expensive. So, I search for the alternative and found the Ion Parka by Western Mountaineering, but I could not find any review about it. It also has the same amount of down fill and down weight, with gore windstopper, and almost the same weight with the Firebee I know the reputation of Western Mountaineering for sleeping bag but I know nothing about their parka, so can anyone share the your experience with me Is t...

Ride Crook Wide Snowboard - 9854rdckw17zz-ride-snowboards by Ride

Item description: This Hiking Snowboards product is by Ride - A twin rocker profile that will lap the park all day. A team favorite for street features and filming video parts. This board is at home in the rail line, or hitting jumps. Slimewalls will give you some high-speed vibration dampening if you want to get out and shred the rest of the mountain. This board is for you if you want a good value that will take a beating. A board that is fully at home in the park, but versatile enough to chase babes around the hill. br / br / Artist: Brian Romero br / Crook - A person who is dishonest or a criminal. Taking a step back, Ride brought on Brian Romero to design a graphic that directly communicates the Crook board. Brian''s graphic history supported the identity of what this series could be. "I''ve always been this rebellious nature, and enjoyed making pictures that upset people. It''s a weird power to have to use a piece of paper and pencil and piss people off with it." [The Hundreds interview] Tapping into RIDE''s DNA from past team series models, Romero created a size run of base graphics with a variety of characteristically crooked figures.
