Hiking News:

I need recommendations for hiking shoes/boots. Details within...

I'm looking for shoes for hiking and backpacking. I haven't yet decided between boots, hiking shoes, or trail runners. I've been using trail runners for the past 500 miles or so, but that's mainly because they were the most breathable shoes I could find. I think I could enjoy more support if I could find a boot that breathes better. My biggest issues are narrow, sweaty feet. And the sides of my pinky toes rub on the outside of the shoe so hard they wore holes in the mesh. So I...

What are the pros and cons of a reindeer hide as a rollmat.

I'm thinking about swapping my rollmat for a reindeer hide and wondered what the pros and cons are. My main reason for thinking of getting one is that I want to be more sustainable and not buy lots of plastics but also to be able to use it in winter and summer. I've seen many people using them for all seasons and say that they are good, I wondered if you guys knew anything about them please and thank you submitted by /u/Bananaface21 [link] [comments]...

The North Face Men's Atlas Triclimate Jacket

Hello, Anyone have any thoughts on this jacket Supposed normal price is 260, but it seems to be on sale at many places for 130. That's a bit higher than I'd like to spend on just a jacket, but I have to admit that I don't have a solid, cold weather, water/wind proof jacket at the moment. To those of you who know, is this jacket a high build-quality jacket worth the 130 dollars I really don't want to accidentally pay for something put together in a 3rd world country for 10 dollar...
