Hiking News:

Stop me from pulling trigger on L.L. Bean Packaway Hoody

Breath-ability and ruggedness aren't major concerns. As such, got scared off certain jackets because of them favoring breath-ability through side panels in sacrifice of warmth. Also, the jacket will get minimal use and almost never get packed or washed. Waterproof I could go either way, but at least want half way decent water resistance. I had done some research and was settled on the Arcíteryx Atom LT Hoody, but kept reading about people saying it just w...

Lifetime Warranties?

I work in a semi-professional attire job (in a hospital). I bounce between scrubs and casual dress for days with meetings/conferences. Because I donít dress up every day, Iím hoping to buy clothes I can get more than one use out of (ie casual, hiking, working, etc.) Iím looking for companies that sell clothing that has a really good warranty. The only outdoor companies with lifetime warranties that I know of are Osprey (love their stuff, but no clothes) Eddie Bauer, and L.L. Bean. The reason Iím...

I would like to know about Western Mountaineering Ion Parka

I am considering to buy the Arcteryx Firebee Parka; however, it's too expensive. So, I search for the alternative and found the Ion Parka by Western Mountaineering, but I could not find any review about it. It also has the same amount of down fill and down weight, with gore windstopper, and almost the same weight with the Firebee I know the reputation of Western Mountaineering for sleeping bag but I know nothing about their parka, so can anyone share the your experience with me Is t...

If anyone knows where to find one or what company makes something like this please let me know :) happy shreddin! submitted by /u/goldy7210 [link] [comments]...

arc'teryx atom lt hoody vs. Mt Hardware Ghost Whisperer (GW)_

Hi all! I currently have the ATOM LT HOODY MEN'S and came across a really good deal for the Mt Hardware Ghost Whisperer. Would you say it'd be redundant to get the Ghost Whisperer I'm looking for a down coat, but, when I looked into the Ghost Whisperer, because of how light it is, seems to be more of a mid layer than a stand alone down coat. Womens TNF Triclimate jacket recommendations

Hi! Not sure if this is the right place to post, but: My old triclimate is breaking down (liner ripping) and I'd like to get a new one! I'm hoping it to be good for up to ~25 F / -2 C, ideally without wearing TOO many layers. Mostly for around ~35 F / 2 C though. I'll mainly be wearing a shirt / sweatshirt on the inside. My current one is similar to the Arrowood (fleece + outer) and I've found it's not quite warm enough. Which of these options would be best for me Admittedly...
