Please help if you have experience with wool!

I recently purchased a wool shirt that I love. But itís pretty itchy. I think the last owner probably washed it like a regular shirt resulting in the dry fibers. Everything online said to soak in cold water and gently rehydrate with conditioner or special wool conditioner. The issue is that the shirt has a few leather suede panels and says to only dry clean it. What should I do that will soften the wool without ruining the leather Is it ok to soak and condition despite the leather Please help. ...

What type of jacket do I need?

I'm looking for something in de Dutch fall/winter, has to be water resistant, stop wind and insulate a bit but can be worn with layers. Most importantly it has to vent very well as I will be using it for getting around by bike/hiking and general wear. I'm leaning towards a good soft shell because I have a Hardshell from the north face, it protects against the rain but it just doesn't vent a lot so I get sweaty fast. submitted by /u/Vivinski [link] [comments]...

Whatís the purpose of outer layer? (3 in 1 jacket)

Hi, I have a 3 in 1 winter jacket which has a down inner layer and a wind proof and waterproof outer layer (shell). Really great for winter because itís warm, breathable and protect you from anything. I know the inner layer can be used if there is no chance of rain or snow when itís becoming cold, but Iím not sure if the utility of the shell alone. Because the shell is made to perfectly fit with the inner down jacket, itís just too large and lightweight to use alone. I was thinking to use the sh...

Sawyer Mini vs Lifestraw

I know it has been asked many times across the forums, so if you are looking for a portable water filter, look at Sawyer Mini before Lifestraw. It has a longer life and is more versatile to use. And though it might be slightly costlier than the Lifestraw, it has a cheaper running cost because of the longer life. Sawyer Mini Vs Lifestraw submitted by /u/crick2000 [link] [comments]...

Blizzard Bonafide Skis - 8973bzbonf16zz-blizzard-skis by Blizzard

Item description: This Hiking Skis product is by Blizzard - Blizzard engineers had to think long and hard as to how they could improve the Bonafide, but they did. This past season they added the Flip Core Carbon Rocker Construction to it. Flip Core Carbon Rocker has 90 degree Carbon Fiber integrated into the rockered areas in the tip and tail to reduce the weight of the ski to eliminate tip wobble on firm terrain, lower the swingweight, and make the Bonafide easier to control, to allow a wider range of skiers to enjoy ripping any terrain possible. Blizzard presses the wood of their skis upside down in the press to give it a natural flex, better flotation, and more stability. The 98mm waist only makes the Bonafide a true all terrain ski to be able to float in the deep snow, crush crud, and be highly maneuverable on a groomer. A Double Titanium layer plus an additional layer over the binding mounting platform sits on top of a Poplar/Beech Wood Core that has a very powerful feeling, and will be ultra-stable no matter how fast you push your skis down the mountain. If you are looking for that one ski does it all, that knows no speed limit, saddle up and click into the Blizzard Bonafide, this ski has not been a best seller since its inception for no reason. Lengths: 166, 173, 180, 187cm Sidecut: 133/98/118 Radius: 21.0m @ 180cm Sandwich Compound Sidewall Poplar-Beech Woodcore Double Ti Ti Binding Interface Rocker-Camber-Rocker Carbon Flip Core... Kye Petersen narrowed the waistline on this model but didn''t take away any of its ability to out perform its wider counterparts. With the lowest tail height in its class, the 95''s extended running surface and shorter turn radius make this the "best in class" for the KYE series in firm to variable conditions.
