Protecting gear in an outdoor storage trunk

I am not sure if this is the best place to ask this question- but I figured the kind folks here would have some insight. I live in a small apartment and have to keep a lot of my gear outside on my balcony in a Plano heavy duty storage trunk. It holds my camelbak bag, gloves, some hiking equipment (no electronics), and boxing gear. Review- Teva Sirra Women's sandals
