Mid-layer jack-of-all-trades jacket (Nano Air, First Light, etc) advice?

Main winter sports are downhill skiing, trail running, some fat biking, I don't do any winter camping anymore, but tons of hiking. I got a sizable discount on Patagonia (1 time) and a gift card so I'm inclined to grab something like a Nano Air, but concerned with long-term durability and loft. Will it hold up and stay warm for many years Some people have said the Light pullover is the way to go. Also ...

The only outdoor companies with lifetime warranties that I know of are Osprey (love their stuff, but no clothes) Eddie Bauer, and L.L. Bean. The reason Iím...

So, I search for the alternative and found the Ion Parka by Western Mountaineering, but I could not find any review about it. It also has the same amount of down fill and down weight, with gore windstopper, and almost the same weight with the Firebee I know the reputation of Western Mountaineering for sleeping bag but I know nothing about their parka, so can anyone share the your experience with me Is t...
